We offer private classes for you and your dog. These classes are ideal for owners with the time and desire to train their own dog, but who are unsure how to proceed or may be having some difficulty.

Lessons for basic, on-leash obedience and advanced, off-leash work are given at the kennel and last approximately one hour per session. Five sessions are required to complete the basic course of obedience. These classes are designed to train both the dog and the owner, and the owner is to work every day with the dog between lessons. For the advanced lessons, you and your dog must have completed the basic obedience course here, or be able to demonstrate satisfactory on-leash obedience.

These private classes have been successful and rewarding for those wanting to train their own dog and willing to put in the required effort. Additionally, because these are private lessons, we proceed at the pace you and your dog need, not at the pace of the slowest student in a group class. And because you get 100% of the instructor’s time and attention, you are sure to learn a lot about training your dog.

Lessons are offered Monday-Friday between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, and on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 pm. In the summer, evening hours are also available.
