Dogs Years Training and Boarding Center is located on 29 idyllic acres in Shelby, NC. Our property includes two separate fields, a large yard, and woods with a flowing stream, all of which makes for an ideal location to train and exercise dogs that are staying with us.

Dogs Years kennel is set up for comfort, hygiene, and proper animal husbandry. Eight indoor/outdoor runs make up the facility. Each indoor section is equipped with a Kuranda dog bed for your dog's comfort. The inside of the building is heated and air conditioned. The outdoor run is accessed by the dog through a swinging Plexiglas door and the dogs have free access to their outdoor runs, so they can have all the fresh air and exercise they want throughout the day. Additionally, leash walks are available for our boarding dogs.

Runs are cleaned and disinfected at least once per day, using a disinfectant specifically formulated for use with animals. Dogs are fed twice each day, with a clean stainless steel bowl at each feeding. Water bowls are filled several times per day to keep fresh water in front of your dog at all times, and water bowls are washed and replaced daily.

We feed Eukanuba Maintenance or Eukanuba Premium Performance, based on your dog's exercise level and caloric requirements. Generally, boarding dogs and those here for obedience training are fed the Maintenance diet, while those here for hunting dog training are fed the Performance formula. We chose Eukanuba based on several factors, including palatability, digestibility, minimal upsets when changing diets, and quality of ingredients. Lastly, we feed Eukanuba to our own working dogs and have been continually impressed with the results seen in our dogs' appearance and physical condition. If it's what we feed our own dogs, it's what we feel your dogs deserve, as well. Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own food, provided it is pre-measured and labeled.

Our pick up and drop off schedule is designed to reduce stress on your dog while he/she is staying with us, and allows for uninterrupted training sessions.

The kennel building is equipped with an alarm system and is located close to our house, to ensure the safety and security of your pet.
